Chain Reaction was awesome. have you seen our SENSE TV feature? We filmed and edited it all in one day, had the DVD ready to show before everyone went home. Showoffs? Us?! Not likely. Ok, maybe a little bit. I’ll let you all be the judge of the film. *braces himself*
Here’s the Chain Reaction website. Connect, collaborate, commit. Change the world. Or just change your mind. Well we’ve all gotta start somewhere I guess.

Tuesday was eventful! All of the new SENSE Media team were summoned to the Channel4 building for a meeting and workshop. I left my house at 11am feeling both anxious and excited about meeting the new team. When I arrived I was given a visitors pass with the Channel4 logo (how exciting) and sat down with the other three people who were waiting for Safiya, Duane and Krishna to meet us. Having been part of the old SENSE team I was able to give a bit of background to the new people. Everyone looked nervous so I wasn’t the only one feeling the pressure.
Shortly after arriving we were all taken downstairs to a room that looked almost identical to the interviewing circle used after Big Brother evictions. It must have taken me a whole 30 seconds to start a conversation on anything that popped in to my head. I think it was mostly due to nerves that I just couldn’t keep quiet for long. After ten minutes of laughing, joking, stuffing our faces on sandwiches and welcoming the new faces to the team, we were all greeted by Duane, Safiya and Krishna.
Standing in a circle everyone introduced themselves to one another and gave a little background info about their inspirations and why they wanted to become part of SENSE. We all joined in on the copying of dance moves, asking questions and listening before we all moved on in to the cinema.
We were all given activities and questions to answer as a team, had to present our ideas to everyone and were shown the Chain-Reaction video the SENSE TV team made (how embarrassing sitting there watching myself on screen). We were even given the opportunity to meet some of the Channel4 staff and express our opinions on the programs we see. Finally we all discussed the importance of the SENSE Media brand and how we can all contribute as young people to distributing a new, improved SENSE.
This meeting was so energetic and exciting that there was no need for me to have been nervous. Everyone was kind, encouraging, inspirational and I can’t wait to have another SENSE team meeting. Wow what an experience!

A picture will have to do instead.
Tomorrow is our first consultation! I’ll be at my desk all evening getting it all into shape…
